Guardians of Ga'Hoole - Nyra

Also known as Her Pureness, General Mam, and the Haggish Queen (I think). She probably has more titles, but I can't remember any of them. 

Ah, Nyra...shortly after you became the main antagonist of the series after the death of Kludd, I found myself screaming "Will you just die already?!" 90% of the time. Seriously, she first appears in book four "The Siege" and she doesn't die until the very last book of the series "The War of the Ember", eleven books since her introduction. The fact she survives for most of the series annoys me. Maybe it's her "I'm evil, so I'm going to take over the world and kill and enslave everyone who disagrees with me" attitude, and her tendency to laugh maniacally. 

Still, she is a little more interesting then most one note evil characters like her, and I admit I do like her more then the Striga, whom I will never forgive for burning books, murdering a certain character, and bringing just as much misery as the Pure Ones did.
